About The Author

Dave Palzet has worked in schools for over 15 years in various roles.  After attending Illinois State University, he was hired in Wheeling School District 21 as a fifth/sixth grade teacher.  He obtained a masters degree in School Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University and took on the role of Dean of Students in a Wheeling, IL middle school.  Dave then became an assistant principal and then principal at Deer Path Middle School in Lake Forest, IL and began working on a Ph. D. at Loyola University Chicago.  In 2005 he accepted the principal position at Wilmette Junior High School in Wilmette School District 39.  In 2010 Dave became the Administrator for 5-8 Education in District 39.  Dave is currently the superintendent of schools in Pleasantdale School District 107.   Currently, Dave is completing his Chief School Business Official certification form Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.

Dave lives in Deerfield, IL with his wife and four children.  He enjoys learning about teaching, learning, and educational technology.  Dave has an avid interest in school leadership and reads and speaks on the topic.
